June 7-8 Historical Route 66 Car Show

The Historical Route 66 Car show helps usher in summer with classic vehicles, good food, and fun for all. The event is put on by Williams American Legion Cordova Post #13, with all proceeds benefiting the American Legion. The 2019 car show will also include events the celebrate the “100 Year Anniversary” of the American Legion.

June 21-23 Cowpunchers Reunion Rodeo

A tradition in Williams, the Cowpunchers Rodeo is a working man’s rodeo. Straight from nearby ranches, cowboys and cowgirls gather for some friendly competition, including bull riding, bareback riding, wild cow races and barrel racing.

August 9-11 Cool Country Cruise-In

Takes place at Twisters and along Route 66. This Route 66 clas­sic car show with trophies given for various classes is a perennial favorite. For car show registration visit www.route66place.com.

Steam Train to the Grand Canyon

April 6, May 4, June 1. July 6, Aug. 3, Sept. 7 and 21 and Oct. 5 The Grand Canyon Railway celebrates the history of vintage rail travel with several steam-powered excursions to the Grand Canyon. You, too, can ride all the way to the Canyon and back be­hind a 90-year-old locomotive.

November 30 Williams Parade of Lights & Official Tree Lighting Ceremony

Part of the Mountain Village Holiday, the parade typically starts at 6:30 p.m. along Historic Route 66 followed by the tree lighting ceremony.

Nov. 8 – Jan. 4 Grand Canyon Railway presents Polar Express
